About the Artist

Born and raised on St Simons Island, Burwell's creativity and ingenuity started at a young age.           At 12 Burwell made seashell necklaces and sold them to tourists on the islands pier. Later his interests spread to wood working however he found his true passion when he began working with glass.

Burwell is a self taught stained glass artist who has used his artistic eye and problem solving skills to restore antique stained glass work. He has also developed new and innovative techniques that he uses to incorporate natural elements, such as wood and stone, into his custom glass designs. 

Currently Burwell lives with his wife and pets in Athens, Georgia.
